Semibratova Tatyana

Since 1993 I have been working as a practical psychologist and since 2008 I have been practicing in the field of Gestalt therapy.

In my individual practice, I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents and their parents; with families with adopted children; with married couples. I am a psychosomatic specialist. I work with various psychological traumas, loss, neuroses, fears, phobias, anxiety, panic attacks, eating disorders, insecurity and low self-esteem.

I lead supervision and intervision groups.

My first year students of the Gestalt Therapy Training Program successfully passed the exam, and many of them are practicing psychotherapy.

My path to psychotherapy was quite long. As a child, I wanted to be a teacher, then a doctor, a lawyer - all professions involving helping others. I didn't know who psychologists were back then. After finishing school, I was planning to go to medical school, but my parents talked me out of it, and in 1987, I enrolled in the History Department at Zaporizhzhya State University (ZSU). Studying was interesting - new times had begun: reforms, perestroika. But after graduation, the reality of adult life set in. I didn't want to be a historian. I complained to my academic advisor that I was completely lost and didn't know what to do next. He told me that ZSU had a new specialty - psychology. I quickly took action and "jumped on the last train" - I was enrolled as an additional order for psychology students. Since 1993, I have been working as a psychologist. I attended various seminars, courses, and was interested in NLP. I learned how to "pump up" resources, be more optimistic about life, but sometimes fell into emptiness and loneliness. Then I went to seminars, courses, and personal therapy again. Everything was getting better, but only temporarily. Depression returned. It was in that state that I attended a seminar on Gestalt therapy.

Back then, I had a poor understanding of what a gestalt therapist does, but the need for a presence of an accepting other in my life was very strong. The gestalt group gave me the opportunity to share my experiences, life stories that I hadn't shared before, and some that I didn't even remember, in a safe environment. I increasingly wanted to understand myself.

My mastery of gestalt therapy was not just studying - it was a path to myself. I sought answers to questions like, "Who am I? What am I like? What do I want?" These are seemingly simple questions - who doesn't know the answers to them? But it turned out that there was much I didn't know about myself, and what I thought about life, myself, and responsibility - I realized it was not mine but imposed by society. Over the years of studying and afterward, many changes occurred in my life. My dreams, which seemed unattainable, started to come true. I realized the most important thing - that I am responsible for my own life, and that is freedom. The biggest value that I received from gestalt therapy is self-knowledge, understanding, and awareness of who I am with another person. This became my human path, my learning path, which included pain, loss, fear, shame, guilt, and joy. This experience helps me to be stable, honest, and accepting in my work with clients. Already in love with gestalt therapy, I went to Moscow to study for certification as a trainer and supervisor. Today, I am a certified gestalt therapist, trainer, and supervisor of MIGIS and MIGTiK. I continue to grow professionally by participating in conferences, seminars, training, and lectures.

In my individual practice, clients come to me with problems in relationships, crisis periods, psychological trauma, psychosomatics, phobias, obsessive states, anxiety, eating disorders, child-parent relationships, and seeking help in coping with loss.

Currently, my professional interest lies in working with various psycho-traumatic experiences.
I am also a group therapist and supervisor. I lead training workshops for the first and second stages of gestalt therapy; specialized programs on child-parent relationships, art therapy, systemic family therapy, psychological trauma and PTSD psychotherapy; and a therapeutic group for eating disorders in the city of Zaporizhzhia.

In my work, I follow the Code of Ethics and Professional Practice of MIGIS.
