He holds degrees in philosophy, theology (1973) and clinical psychology/psychotherapy (1981) He worked as artistic director of Dancehouse nrw (Tanzhaus nrw) for 35 years. From 1973 he studied Gestalt therapy in Europe and the USA with Isha Blumberg, Laura Perls, Bob Martin and from 1977 to 1982 with Isador Fromm.
