Kovalenko Raisa

I was educated as a psychologist already at a fairly adult age, at the same time I worked as a psychologist in an organization, I was engaged in the selection, interviewing, testing and evaluation of personnel. She began to practice after completing the first level of the “Trainee gestalt therapists” program at MIGIS. I conduct individual consultations, work on Skype, run a psychological club, work in a group therapy format, as a co-therapist with Zankovskaya Zlatoslava, director of the Kyiv representative office of MIGIS.

For me, psychotherapy is akin to art, the art of contact between two people, the possibility of their meeting, where one speaks to the other about their pain or desire for change, and the other, being present with themselves and their knowledge, directs and supports the other in this, and sometimes even allows the other to experience an experience that for some reason was impossible to experience in real life. Psychotherapy is an opportunity for a person to regain themselves, to look at certain aspects of their life or personality with a new perspective, to adopt new qualities necessary for personal change, and to learn to understand their feelings and needs. And the love for this profession is born out of love for people, interest in them, and interest in professional knowledge, which provides the opportunity to help another person. In my individual practice, I work with requests such as family and interpersonal relationships, parent-child relationships, emotional dependence, loneliness, insecurity, anxiety, psychosomatic disorders, loss, and separations.
